Background:
Dr Sang-Hyun Woo is an internationally recognized microsurgeon and president of W Hospital in Daegu, South Korea.
Dr. Woo is clinical consulting doctor for orthopedics at the Seoul National University Hospital and Director of the hand surgery center at the Hyundai Hospital in Daegu.

He is Professor of plastic surgery at the Medical College of Yeungnam University Major in hand surgery.

Dr. Woo did his training at the hand surgery and microsurgery center at the Kleinert Institute and was the first clinical professor in Korea. He did training at the micro reconstruction center at the Okayama University Hospital in Japan and training at the hand surgery center at the Bad Neustadt in Germany. In addition he trained at the hand surgery and microsurgery center at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan with Dr. Fu-Chan Wei.

He is:

Executive Director of the Korean Society for Surgery of the Hand.
Executive Director of the Korean Society for Microsurgery.
Member of the Board of Trustees of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
International member of the American Association of Hand Surgery (AAHS).
Full member of the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (WSRM).
Full member of the International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS).
Vice chairman of the International Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand (IFSSH).
