Partial Brachial Plexus Palsy; Creation of Internal Splints in Peripheral Nerve Surgery.
Background:
Dr. Jorge Clifton is attending reconstructive microsurgeon Clinica de Mano Clifton Navarro and program director in the hand surgery residency, Guadalajara, Mexico. He is past President of the Mexican Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is Adjunct Professor of Surgery of the Hand and Peripheral Nerve at the Jalisco Institute of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Clifton obtained his medical degree from Dr, Ignacio Chavez UMSNH, Morelia, Michoacán. He completed his general surgery training at Hospital 20 de Noviembre, ISSSTE, Mexico and in Houston Texas at Baylor College of Medicine. He did further training in Plastic Surgery at Hospital 20 de Noviembre, ISSSTE, Mexico. After this he did hand surgery fellowship at Hospital 20 de Noviembre and then a hand fellowship at Kleinert Institute, University of Louisvile, Kentuky, and in Houston Texas, with the University of Texas.

He did further advanced Reconstructive Microsurgery training with Dr. Graham Lister at the University of Utah and in Peripheral Nerve and Brachial Plexus Surgery with Dr. Susan E. Mackinnon at Barnes University in Saint Louis Missouri.
