Professor Eric Santamaria, MD

Dr. Santamaria is Professor of Reconstructive Microsurgery at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and Attending Surgeon, Hospital General Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzalez the Instituto Nacional de Cancerologia, Mexico City.
Dr. Santamaria Plastic Surgery did his plastic surgery training at Hospital General Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzalez. This was followed by a 3 years of fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
He has been a Microsurgery Fellowship Director for 20 Consecutive Years training more than than 40 Microsurgery Fellows and 100 International Visiting Fellows.
His clinical expertise is in Head and Neck, Breast, and Extremity Reconstruction.
His research interests include Prelaminated Free Flaps and Perforator Flaps.
