Nicholas Haddock, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Nicholas Haddock, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in breast reconstruction, aesthetic breast and body procedures, surgical and nonsurgical facial aesthetic treatments, microsurgery, and extremity reconstruction.

Dr. Haddock completed an undergraduate degree in finance at the University of Texas in Austin and earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed a residency in plastic surgery at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at New York University Langone Medical Center, where he was elected Executive Chief Resident his final year.

He received advanced training through a hand and microsurgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, gaining further experience in extremity reconstruction, complex microsurgery, and breast reconstruction.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Haddock participates in extensive outcomes research. His two main goals are to achieve high patient satisfaction and overall excellent results. His research includes studies on microsurgery as well as breast reconstruction, including the sentinel works describing the PAP flap procedure.

Dr. Haddock has published numerous papers and chapters on plastic surgery, breast reconstruction, microsurgery, and cosmetic surgery. His research has appeared in publications such as: Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery; Annals of Plastic Surgery; Journal of Hand Surgery; and The Breast Journal. He has been invited to present his work at medical meetings around the globe and has been featured on multiple news outlets (including Fox, NBC, and NPR). Dr. Haddock routinely receives local and regional awards voted on by his peers.

In 2018, he was named a Super Doctor by Texas Monthly.
